The Bungalow

The planter's house in the tea

Your own house in the middle of a private 50-acre organic tea estate, with full board. From $250 a night for two.

A home, not a hotel

Nestled amongst the tea bushes, the house is perfectly situated right in the middle of your very own private 50-acre organic tea estate.

The house has a living room with an open fireplace and a dining room, both with large bay windows overlooking the lawn towards the panoramic views of the south. The two double bedrooms both have en-suite bathrooms with walk-in showers, and one has a large bathtub too.

You'll be looked after by Priya, who lives on site. She usually cooks a fragrant rice and curry lunch and a more "western" evening meal (with a Sri Lankan twist), but you're welcome to plan your own menus with her.

Inside the Bungalow

What guests say

We were looked after so well by Priya and her family, who cooked delicious meals (fabulous Sri Lankan curries for example, and Western dishes including outstanding pizza!)… When we could prise ourselves away from the sunny terrace and garden (where peacocks wander freely), we walked from the Bungalow and also did parts of the Pekoe Trail.

Lovely colonial-style bungalow, in a great location. The tea estate is fantastic, just wandering around and saying hello to the villagers was fun. Lots of walks to do nearby…

Priya cooks fabulous food and she was super helpful during our stay. We visited the Needwood factory and local waterfalls, and did some beautiful hikes from the house with two young kids.

Absolute relaxation with homefeeling delivered by Pria and team.
