Considering its remoteness, Haldummulla is surprisingly well connected: just 10 minutes off the main A4 Colombo–Batticaloa road, with the railway stations at Idalgashinna and Haputale a short drive away.
- Haputale: about 30 minutes by tuk tuk
- Ella: roughly an hour's drive
- Nuwara Eliya: about two hours' drive
