A more sophisticated escape
For an altogether more sophisticated and luxurious experience, our Library Suite is furnished in French, Italian and English antiques and has an extensive library of English-language classics.
A gramophone with a small selection of classical, jazz, soul and blues music is there to help transport you back to a bygone era. It's a perfect bolthole for a romantic weekend, though it also has an optional second room with a double bed for a couple of children.
Set in the garden of the main house, the suite has a large studio bedroom with an open fireplace, a dressing room, a spacious bathroom and a dining terrace with panoramic views down the valley.

Felt like we were transported back to 18th century europe. The furnishings are very special and we spent most afternoons lazily leafing through the incredible library of books while sitting on the rocking chair on the verandah.
We spent a couple of nights in the Library bungalow. Very peaceful, lovely setting, tasty simple food, delicious tea, good service and a treasure trove of books and records. The evenings were cool and we lit a fire.
I’ve been to this beautiful place twice—once with a big group of eight and more recently with a smaller group of four… we stayed in the Library Suite, which was the perfect space for us. We had our meals out on the beautiful verandah, soaking in the surroundings.
The house is beautifully decorated with great taste, surrounded by enchanting tea plantations that make the whole experience feel otherworldly. The food was absolutely delicious, the tea is truly exceptional… A special mention to Priya, who is such a gem.
